When started moving to use the iPhone 5s as a primary back in 2020 some good things happened I experienced something which you will know in IS iPhone 5s still good in 2023
Best Things about iPhone 5s
When I moved to the iPhone 5s was previously mostly Used iPhones as a secondary for social media and calling the things that good happen can only be realized by those who use old iPhones such as iPhone 4,4s or 5,5c but things so far changed in 2023

- 1st Gen Fingerprint sensor(Touch ID)
- iOS 12 which is great on 10-year-old iPhone

I don’t think that the iPhone 5s will give you a powerful performance due to its aged A7 Chip which can’t battle with new powerful Apple Chips but this was a lifesaver if you won’t go for the latest iPhone as I think for those who are just frustrated being using old iPhone’s where’s you can’t even install the basic Apps you can still use WhatsApp on this
You can even move to iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s
Supported Apps on iPhone 5s
I searched a lot on App Store was I Found that most apps require iOS 13 or iOS 14 which is not great for 5s users how long it will support iOS 12 No Idea already apps were left supported for iOS 12
A least I Think in 2023 apps are still supported if installed earlier in your iPhone 5s which working for now but when it will stop working no one knows
so mostly I used these apps and games

As it Runs iOS 12 lite games still can be played on it as it can handle flawlessly might you experience some lags while playing some high-end games such as Asphalt, PUBG, etc?
Normally sometimes I play candy crush, temple run it even also good at this
I tried PUBG where I get an average of 89 Min playback in 90% in low power mode

Battery
The battery is I thought is less according to current time you get Li-Po 1560 mAh battery which somehow not enough if use frequently you need at least charge it 2 times it eats battery a lot while using Apps with an internet connection
While standby is quite impressive you can use it for normal calls and SMS and it depends upon battery health
Is the iPhone 5s worth
it’s my opinion as per I use it in 2023 for those who want lite usage as required for secondary purposes such as calling, and messaging as we can’t use it as primary
if you do so you might experience heat issues a lot which affects its battery life so minimal usage is good and best for lite usage people
Should I go to buy it
iPhone 5s is already discontinued and hard to get in 2023 due to its not available as new however refurbished is available to purchase but it’s not worth it at any cost for now

You can go with the latest iPhone which is far better than the iPhone 5s but if you want an iPhone for normal calling, SMS, or Apple Music so you still choose it as secondary but not recommended primarily to use it due to apps related issue’s
